UHM General Secretary Gejtu Vella said today that in the context of the international situation the government had presented a realistic budget.

Speaking to timesofmalta.com, Mr Vella said that while workers abroad were losing their jobs or having a deterioration of their living conditions, the government had presented a Budget with a strong bearing both on jobs and the social sector.

The UHM regretted, however, that the Budget did not ease the financial burdens on the people.
